With MEMENTO, artists ADGART (Antonello Diodato Guardigli) and Torge Steffens present a deep visual exploration of memory as a space of absence and transformation. The exhibition features abstract, layered, and fragmented works in which black, gold, and disrupted forms evoke persistence and loss, a trace that resists time.

The title MEMENTO references "memento mori" and represents the act of remembering as resistance—an emotional and collective sign transforming matter into living testimony. The works embody a tension between light and shadow, presence and dissolution.

Antonello Diodato Guardigli (ADGART), an Italian artist known for his “impulsive abstraction,” combines material and gesture in intense compositions. His works, shown internationally at venues such as the Venice Biennale and Art Basel Miami, address identity, collective wounds, and social fragmentation.

Torge Steffens, a German artist with a background in communication design, works with stylized abstract figures, exploring human vulnerability in contemporary society. His meditative canvases reflect the need for connection in a world marked by solitude.

The artistic dialogue of MEMENTO unfolds as an atlas of partial memories—a visual lexicon where gold becomes sacred light and black the unconscious space, inviting viewers to perceive memory as a living place of silence and traces.
